Lantern Festival

Every year, the Association of Chinese Americans celebrates the Lantern Festival at the Chinese Community Center. It is one of Metro Detroit’s premier events to get a taste of Chinese culture. Event-goers have the chance to experience Chinese culture through the many booths set up that feature traditional Chinese food, snacks, calligraphy, and crafts. Another highlight is the performances by individuals and local Chinese groups, including traditional songs, dances, taiji, and instrumental performances.

Local organizations also set up informational booths at the festival, and free health screenings and health informationals booths are provided.
