On October 12, 2012, celebrating 40th anniversary, ACA Members, staff, Board directors, Past Presidents along with dignitaries, corporate and community supporters were among the 220 guests who gathered to celebrate this happy occasion. Marcella Lee, news anchor at KFMB-TV in San Diego, former news reporter at WDIV-TV in Detroit, and an ACA High School Scholarship recipient gave her keynote speech on “Cherishing the past, Celebrating the Present, Embracing the Future”. We honored Comcast with our Outstanding Corporate Excellence Award and recognized four outstanding volunteers: Ting Chang, Franky Hang, Chengpei Shang and Emily Soong. Our longtime and dedicated supporter Margaret Wong received our Unsung Hero Award. The evening’s culminating points were the folk dance performance by Michigan Chinese Folk Dancing Group and Yo-Yo performance by the Revolution of University of Michigan.
